Vodka

The main characteristic of vodka is the neutrality of its taste and the purity of its texture. Vodka is made in Russia, Scandinavia, Poland, France, Japan and many other places. Distillation equipment and techniques vary from country to country and producer to producer. The same applies to the raw materials and water used. It is therefore reasonable that there should be differences in the resulting vodka as well.

It seems strange, but vodka goes well with most types of food, whether they are appetizers or main dishes. The neutrality of its taste explains its adaptability. If we single out some dishes, they will include seafood, boiled vegetables, fillets of all types and salads with mayonnaise. At a party, vodka cannot be missing. Choose a brand famous for its cocktail efficiency, such as Ketel One, Finlandia, Five Lakes and Poliakov.

If you do not want to store it in the refrigerator (or even in the freezer), choose a place away from heat sources and sunlight. Its highly volatile components require careful capping of the bottle.

As a rule, vodka is enjoyed cold. Keeping it in the refrigerator or using ice for serving are optional solutions. A thin slice of lemon or lime offers extra touches of enjoyment. If you don't prefer your vodka neat, then create one of the endless cocktails it features.

The famous Bloody Mary consists of vodka, tomato juice, lemon juice, salt and tabasco. The also famous White Russian contains vodka, coffee liqueur and cream. Finally, the less famous, but extremely interesting Zipper combines vodka, Chambord, soda and lemon or lime juice.
