The Process
The tsipouro "Dekaraki Malagouzia", is produced only from Malagouzia grape and is distinguished for its special, elegant, floral aromatic character. The Malagouzia variety could be characterized as the manorial variety of the Greek vineyard. It has an intensely aromatic character like Moschato but very different as a direction as it is distinguished for its delicate and elegant aromas. In the 1970s, the variety was in danger of disappearing. Today, through many efforts, Malagouzia has returned to our glasses, acquiring this hard-to-find character that makes it so unique! These delicate and elegant aromas of Malagouzia, stand out perfectly with the multiple redistillation in the traditional, handmade, copper pot, giving a fine and exquisite distillate.
Best Served
It goes well with delicious sour or fatty dishes. Enjoy it with seafood and grilled fish. Also try enjoying it with smoked, salted fish, flavoured with lemon. "Dekaraki Malagouzia" is drunk cool, at 10 °C.
