Shortly before the end of the 19th century, Vassilis Polykalas started selling wine, in Lixouri, Kefalonia. His contact with customers also brought him into contact with homemade drink recipes. He decided to implement these, resulting in the birth of Polykala Distillery. After decades of successive fluctuations in its viability, the company is being taken over by the fourth (and current) generation. Now, the Polykala Distillery is firmly on its feet again. It has a range of products of top quality and modern aesthetics, a clientele in Greece and abroad and optimism for the further development of the business.
