Kastro Distillery is one of the most well-known and traditional businesses of its kind in the area of ​​Patras. It is a family business whose roots can be traced back to Chios in the 19th century, the only island in the production of mastic. It was moved by Panagiotis Hahalis, the founder's son, to the foot of the Patras castle in 1939. The basic ingredients of a successful course were with him: commitment to quality, respect for the consumer, knowledge of extraction and distillation, ability to choose of raw materials and application of the family's secret recipes.
