Bowmore Distillery

Bowmore is Islay's first licensed distillery. It has been located on the shores of Lochindaal, a sea lake that flows into the Atlantic Ocean, since 1779. To this day, the distillery still operates in traditional ways, honoring the original whiskey making techniques. Bowmore is handcrafted to this day. Time is invested in each stage with care and attention to detail, thus creating Bowmore's unique and timeless style.
