Tasting Characteristics

Originally praline was whole almonds in caramelized sugar. Now in Europe, the word praline is used to describe chocolate filled with caramelized hazelnuts. In America, the original praline recipe was changed, replacing almonds with pecans and adding cream for a richer flavor and better texture.

Used in cocktails, mocktails, beverages, coffee, pastry and cooking.

Cocktails with alcohol

White Russian

• 15 ml Monin praline syrup
• 10 ml Monin coffee syrup
• 40 ml vodka
• 20 ml cream

Combine ingredients in a shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake vigorously. Pour into a glass filled with ice cubes. Serve.

Cocktails without alcohol

Praline Iced Latte

• 20 ml Monin praline syrup
• 150 ml milk
• 1 espresso

Combine ingredients in a glass filled with ice cubes. Stir. Serve.
