Charles Tanqueray & Co

Tanqueray gin was the brilliant brainchild of Charles Tanqueray, where it was first distilled in 1830 in Bloomsbury, London. When Charles died in 1868, his son Charles Waugh Tanqueray inherited the distillery, which continued to operate until it was badly damaged during World War II. The only building that survived Axis bombing, is now known as "Old Tom" and since then has been moved to Cameron Bridge, Scotland.
