Tasting Characteristics
Clear, crystalline, colorless with dense tears that descend at a moderate speed. Mild aromatic character, aromas of honey (petimezi), lemon, banana. Light to medium body. The taste is reminiscent of honey (petimezi), lemon and banana. Dry distillate with a round, full and soft taste.
The Process
The Roditis (Fox) variety is a very harmonious and balanced variety. It thrives exceptionally in the territory of the area of Tyrnavos, which gives it its best self. The result it offers after distillation in the traditional, handmade, copper pots, is exceptional. Roditis distillate, while coming from a variety of relatively mild aromatic, with the distillation its aromatic character evolves and strengthens. This is a rose variety. The variety is harvested at the end of September and the production process is the same as in Moschato. The tsipouro "Dekaraki Roditis", is produced only from Roditi grapes and stands out for its lemonade and fruity aromas. His harmonious character is felt from the first sip, which makes him an excellent companion on every occasion. Dekaraki from the excellent variety Roditis (Fox), stands out for the balance in the aromas of tsipouro.
